A short circuit on the Capelo ridge, a geosite of some twenty cones running from Cabeço dos Trinta to Capelinhos. From the Cabeço Verde access road the path goes through woodland to the Furna Ruim, a lava cave 55 metres deep that is to be looked into rather than entered, and on towards the Algar do Caldeirão. Graded medium, 2.5 km, two hours.
