Ribeirinha

A circuit of Ribeirinha in the east, partly in the Lomba Grande protected area and partly in the Graben de Pedro Miguel. The Ribeirinha volcanic complex is the oldest ground on Faial, about 800 000 years old, and the village is where the 1998 earthquake did its worst: the ruined church of São Mateus is on the route. Easy, 8.3 km, two and a half hours.
