A walk about water, and the longest of the island's four small routes. It starts at the Pico da Caldeirinha de Pêro Botelho and goes over Pico Timão, the vent of the island's last eruption under 2 000 years ago. What it is named for is the water architecture an island with almost no surface water had to build: tanks, cisterns, washhouses and clay pipes. Medium, 11.3 km, three hours.
