The Montanha Pico Festival returns for its 13th edition, offering a unique cultural exchange with the presentation of "Spotlight New Bedford." This session focuses on the city of New Bedford, Massachusetts, a significant Luso-American community. Initiated by Terry Costa, the artistic director of MiratecArts, after his visit to the New Bedford Film Festival in 2025, the event aims to showcase the work of filmmakers from New Bedford to the Azorean audience. The session will feature works from five invited filmmakers, including four of Luso descent: Alyssa Botelho, Ethan de Aguiar, Nick Francis, Ryan Nunes, and Sean Campbell. These filmmakers bring diverse perspectives and backgrounds, enriching the cultural dialogue between the Azores and the United States.
