Caminhos de Santa Luzia

A walk through the UNESCO-listed vineyard landscape of the north coast, from Santa Luzia down to Lajido and back up. The lava is scored with relheiras, the ruts left by the ox carts that carried the wine to the boats, and Lajido has the vineyard-culture museum and some of the island's clearest lava formations. Graded medium, 9.4 km, three hours.
