A north-coast walk from the boundary between Santana and São Vicente down to the Lajido lava field. It starts at a whale lookout — worth the short detour before setting off — drops to the Gasparal bay and its tidal pool, and then works along the shore over basalt past Ponta Negra. Easy, 8.7 km, two and a half hours.
