Sete Retratos e Outras Obras em Forma de Enlace Exhibition

This exhibition at the Arquipélago — Centro de Artes Contemporâneas celebrates the artistic and personal connection between Maria Helena Vieira da Silva and Arpad Szenes. Featuring works from the renowned Arpad Szenes — Vieira da Silva Museum in Lisbon, the exhibit showcases pieces spanning from 1931 to 1975. Through paintings, drawings, and engravings, visitors can trace the couple's journey through Paris, Lisbon, and their exile in Rio de Janeiro during WWII. The exhibition also includes a critical reflection program focusing on metamorphosis and inter-species solidarity.
