From the Vista do Rei viewpoint down the south-west rim of the Sete Cidades caldera into the village inside it. The whole descent looks into the crater and over its lakes, with a short detour to the Lomba do Vasco viewpoint above Mosteiros and the west coast. Easy in grade but steep and slippery on the last stretch of the Arrebentões track; 7.5 km one way.
