Serra Devassa

A circuit through the lakes of the Serra Devassa, the high moorland between Sete Cidades and Ponta Delgada. It starts at the Muro do Carvão, a surviving span of the Nove Janelas aqueduct, and takes in Lagoa do Carvão, the two Caldeirão lakes, the Empadadas and the pair of small lakes on Pico das Éguas at around 870 metres. Nine kilometres, graded medium, wet underfoot.
