Pico das Camarinhas - Ponta da Ferraria

A circuit on the western tip of the island, from the Ilha Sabrina viewpoint over Pico das Camarinhas to Ponta da Ferraria, where a hot spring runs into a tidal pool. The viewpoint is named for the island thrown up offshore by the 1811 eruption, which the sea removed within months; from the cinder cone three craters line up west to east, the signature of fissure volcanism. Easy, 3.6 km.
