Needle Felting Workshop

Join a two-session needle felting workshop at the Azores Craft and Design Center (CADA) on Terceira Island. This workshop is part of a broader initiative to promote the value of wool as a regional raw material and to encourage the transmission of skills associated with Azorean textile arts. Needle felting, also known as dry felting, involves transforming wool fibers using specialized needles that compress and shape the material without water or soap. Participants will have the opportunity to create decorative, sculptural, and utilitarian pieces, exploring various forms, volumes, and textures. The workshop fosters a dialogue between tradition, experimentation, and contemporary design.
