The circuit of Monte Brasil, the extinct sea-born volcano that shelters Angra do Heroísmo and made its harbour. It climbs from the Relvão park to the Fortress of São João Baptista, one of the largest the Spanish crown ever built, past the 1615 Santo António chapel and Pico do Facho, with views over the UNESCO-listed town the whole way. Graded medium, 7.5 km.
