The old link between Povoação and Faial da Terra, over the shoulder that separates the Caldeira de Povoação from the valley of the Ribeira do Faial da Terra. Much of it is the paved footway the villagers built, through woods now taken over by cheesewood and Japanese cedar, with a detour to the rebuilt viewpoint on Pico dos Bodes. Seven kilometres, three hours, graded medium.
