São João - Lourais - Fajã dos Vimes

A south-coast traverse between three fajãs: Fajã de São João, up over Lourais, then down through Fajã dos Bodes to Fajã dos Vimes. Both halves cross streams, and the register says plainly to skip the Lourais–Vimes section after heavy rain. Between them the farmed terraces give way to faya and Australian cheesewood. Hard, 9.6 km, three and a half hours.
