Pico do Pedro - Pico da Esperança - Fajã do Ouvidor

The ridge walk: from the foot of Pico do Pedro along the central volcanic range and down the north side to Fajã do Ouvidor, with a signed detour to Pico da Esperança, the island's high point at 1 053 m. Most of it runs between 800 and 1 000 metres past a line of cones, several with small lakes in their craters. The register is clear that this is a good-visibility walk. Medium, 16.9 km, four hours.
